Yes, There Is Still Snow in Wells (Only in Our Yard).

We’re back in business this week. We are excited to be starting the summer season at the Quesnel Farmer’s Market this Saturday and to see our favourite customers and our fellow vendors again. Bring on the sunshine!

Saturday May 13, Quesnel Farmer’s Market, 8:30 am until we sell out:

Our regular line-up of bread: Holey Hannah, Grainy Day, Ryed On! Tooty Fruity, Spelt-Date-Walnut, Speedy, Beer Belly.
Savoury loaf: Roasted Garlic & Olive
Scones: Apple-Asiago, and Lemon-Raisin
Granola

Tim and I had a rejuvenating trip on our bikes. We cycled in seven countries, starting with Canada: we biked from my brother’s house in Calgary to the airport. The cycling infrastructure in Calgary is actually pretty decent for a Canadian city, especially an Albertan Canadian city! We cycled in England, (including across the city of London to stay with Tim’s Auntie Sue), the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Sally was with us for the first two weeks of the trip, and she definitely has her father’s cycling prowess. Her biggest day was a 50km! On a mountain bike! With panniers! What a star. Here are just a couple of photos to whet your appetite. I will write more about our trip in the coming couple of weeks.

And why wouldn't you drink coffee when this is what you get?!? A biscuit, milk, sugar, a teeny bit of alcohol with whipped cream, a glass of water, and , uh, oh yeah, coffee!
And why wouldn’t you drink coffee when this is what you get?!? A biscuit, milk, sugar, a teeny bit of alcohol topped with whipped cream, a glass of water, and, uh, oh yeah, coffee! Coffee that is super strong and full of flavour and not burnt-tasting. Can’t get that in Canada, for some reason.
