Sat-Sun Nov 21-22, 10 am to 4 pm: Medieval Market in Williams Lake (We will only be there the first day!)

Winter has arrived in Wells and we were able to get out and enjoy (?) it this past weekend. We snowshoed up Mount Murray – snowshoeing and I don’t really get along too well, so Tim had sore ears for most of the journey! I would much rather have been crashing through the trees and shrubs on my skis, but then Tim wouldn’t have been happy and I would have had sore ears! Oh, the wonders of marriage.
We are back into the thick of things starting this weekend – we will be going to the Medieval Market in Williams Lake. That means baking and prepping all day Thursday and Friday. Last year we brought over 300 loaves of bread and over a hundred¬†scones – we sold out by 3 pm on the first day. This year we only plan to be there one day: we will have 10 types of bread for sale, and also Bread Peddler Granola, Spiced Hot Chocolate mix, and a new product: Freshly-Ground Organic Whole-Grain Pancake Mix! The best pancakes you’ve ever eaten!

Mount Murray in the snow – almost enough to ski, but there still are a lot of little trees and shrubs to dodge.

Tim coming down from Mount Murray – glorious winter!

A cake to honour the work and commitment of Wells volunteers. It was a triple-decker with chocolate ganache and almond cream fillings – too bad for you if you missed it!

Spiced Hot Chocolate Mix - only a few left.

  1. Yay! I’m glad the spiced Hot C is back. Also, that cake was incredible! (I got to eat some even though I didn’t show up because my friends took pity on me.)

    1. Please send some Hot C spicy in our xmas parcel this year. We love it. Oh, and we missed out on the cake, but certainly enjoyed your special, absolutely mouth-watering xmas bread you baked while home. But this is really about “making sore ears” on the trail. Do you remember being bribed, along with Stephen with nickels, to get you to cross-country ski out on the bush trails. But tell Tim that it didn’t work very well, so maybe he’ll have to up the price of the bribe. lots of love, mama
