This past weekend we got to try our hand at farming – the idea was to see just how easy we have it being bakers! (Actually, some friends of ours never get to have time away together, so we agreed to look after their animals for a few days to give them a break). Let’s see: there are 3 dogs, 1 cat, 10 rabbits, 7 sheeps, and 41 chickens. Piece of cake! It really was a piece of cake – the house is a beautiful log one with lots of windows and a great view of the forest and the mountains. The weather was mostly sunny and pretty warm, too. And the animals mostly behaved, except the dogs like to take off now and again. Here are some photos of the menagerie:

Ahem. A very cool single-speed green bike. I couldn't help but notice it because the chickens like to hang out just near it.

One of 10 very cute bunnies, sorry I don't know his name (I think he's a he). And they make great curry, too!

  1. Looks like you 2 had a great time. What’s the name of the resort? If it’s not too expensive we’re considering taking a vacations there too!
