A Short Update

Tues June 16, 4 to 8 pm: Bread sales – fresh from the oven!
Wed June 17, 9 and 9:30 am: Bread delivered to Green Tree Health & Wellness and Bouchie Lake Country Store
Wed June 17, 4 to 8 pm: Pizza Night
Sat June 20, 8:30 am until we sell out: Quesnel Farmer’s Market

We are back in the full swing of our summer schedule and I am feeling a tad overwhelmed already. It looks like we will be baking close to 200 loaves of bread every Tuesday and Friday – this is our capacity in a day: it means I stand at the shaping bench in the afternoons for five or six hours straight! My back is not quite accustomed to this yet. We are having more and more curious visitors popping into the bakery every day – this is lovely, and it is great to show people the oven, the mill, and the bakery in general, but I really have to make sure I focus on what I am doing so I don’t screw up the dough, miss a folding, let pre-shaped loaves dry out on the bench, etc, etc. Multi-tasking gets harder and harder with every passing year…

I will post another update later this week: I want to show you all the next two segments of our spring trip: cycling in The Netherlands, and walking/hiking in Wales.
